REPORT #1: T-Score/Bone Density – Just like with DEXA, you will receive an accurate T-Score and a Z-Score to assess your bone density (how hard your bones are).
REPORT #2: Bone Fragility Score – Bone density alone tells you little about bone quality leaving you guessing about whether or not your bones are strong or weak. Echolight R.E.M.S. gives you a fragility score out of 100 and will tell your true fracture risk.
REPORT #3: Body Composition Test – You’ll also receive a report telling you about your body fat and muscle mass. Body composition is important because muscle is vital to the strength of your bones, in other words, more muscle usually leads to more bone.

Is Echolight Better Than Dexa?
Both Echolight R.E.M.S. and DEXA are FDA-Approved diagnostic tools designed to measure bone mineral density (BMD), a crucial indicator of bone health. They help detect osteoporosis early and can predict your risk of future fractures. But while they share a common purpose, their methods and efficiency levels are quite different.
So why is Echolight R.E.M.S. becoming the new favorite?

How Much Does Echolight Scan Cost?
At OsteoCoach we charge $300 for the Echolight scan. This includes a consultation to go over your results. No referral is required and you can see changes in bone within 6 month with Echolight allowing you to test more often to assess the efficacy of your bone building program.

What Does Echolight Measure?
Which is More Accurate? DEXA or Echolight REMS?
In our opinion, Echolight R.E.M.S. is the most reliable bone mineral test for osteoporosis. Just like DEXA, Echolight is FDA approved and offers advantages over the DEXA, including safety (no radiation), accuracy for thin women with small bones (DEXA can be inaccurate for this population), and better fracture risk assessment. No test is perfect, but Echolight is well on its way to becoming the gold-standard for DEXA and has been used in Europe for over a decade!
Does DEXA Expose Me To A Lot of Radiation? How About Echolight REMS?
No, DEXA tests do not expose you to a lot of radiation, however, radiation dose accumulates over a lifetime. We believe that if a test can provide the same or better results without radiation, then you should choose that test. Echolight is such a test. Using soundwaves instead of X-Rays, Echolight can provide density and fragility assessments with no radiation.
